I hunted for a used wheelchair for weeks before buying this one new at a price that rivaled the second hand ones. It folds up tight enough to get out of the way, is light enough for a woman to lift in to the back of the car, and is good looking.

We didn't use the wheelchair as often as I thought we would because Mom had one of those fancy wheeled walkers with baskets. It turns out that you can sit on those to rest, and also they will still roll while the owner is sitting on them. We used the walker on occasion for just a quick dash somewhere, such as from the hospital elevator back to the car.

It was so wonderful to have this wheelchair available at-hand at a stressful time, and I sold it used when we didn't need it any more for not much less than what I paid. It also would have been a welcome donation to a charity.

A virtually identical Invacare EX2 wheelchair through the rehab hospital my mom used following a stroke was selling for $500, or a rental fee of $75 a month. This wheelchair, at a price equal to a little more than two month's rental, was a God-send. When I told the rehab people I got it for around $150 on amazon they said "we're going to have to start buying our medical supplies there!" And the seller is fantastic- it arrived a week before the estimated date and they've been responsive to emails with several questions I had.

Patient could not tolerate the hard seat even with a pillow added. Significant effort needed to raise body far enough to activate lift mechanism. Caregiver found it did not raise the bottom high enough to improve effort of raising from chair. In our case a significant cost for poor results. DO NOT PURCHASE WITHOUT TRYING A SIMILAR PRODUCT LOCALLY.

The seat height on this Rollator is adjustable as opposed to only the handles being adjustable. The good news is the seat can be raised or lowered for someone who is not "average" height; the bad news is the handles get raised or lowered with the seat. So if the standard seat height is wrong for someone, this is a great walker. However, since it will probably be used for walking more than sitting, make sure the resulting handle height is good.

Bottom line, if the standard seat height is OK then you are better off with a Rollator that has adjustable handles; but if you need a different seat height, this is a GREAT rollator. Strong, well made, light and foldable. We love it.

This is definitely fit the mold of "to good to be true". Until it rolled out of the box it could not believe it. I was renting it's big brother just like it while waiting on my electric to arrive but wanted a light weight travel model to toss in the car.

This is it.

Drug stores in the area and other wanted from 430 to 460.00 for the exact same chair plus taxes and assembly in some cases and this was ready to go for some 19?.00 shipping included. (can't remember exact amount)

It's perfect for what I wanted. I'll never get over the price.

Makes you wonder how many more things we pay twice what it's worth. You can bet these people that sold this cheep made a profit.

This chair worked out very well for my mother. It is lightweight, manuevers easily, fold easily. The only problem we had was the footrests were not sent with the wheelchair. I called Amazon, they referred me directly to the company, I e-mailed them and received the footrests promptly. The original shipment came within 3 days, no additional charge. We are very satisfied. We did purchase the slightly larger chair so Mom could put her purse, etc along side of her. She says the chair is comfortable, and it is easy for us to push, so it's a win-win.

I purchased this wheelchair not knowing it would fold together, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it did. You simply lift it up by the canvas seating pad and everything collapses. The leg rests also fold aside very easily and the armrests fold up and out of the way so you can slide onto your bed. I tested the maneuverability and it fits into narrow passages and doorways (even ones found in homes that were made in the 1950s). Turning, moving forward, and backwards takes some getting used to if you haven't used a wheelchair. The controls are similar to that of a tracked vehicle in that you control turning and movement via the individual wheels. Or you can have someone just push you around. The wheelchair wasn't very heavy for me, I could lift it around without any difficulty. The shipping was extremely fast and kudos to Amazon for the excellent service. Check the Drive website and it will tell you the true weight of the wheelchair. If you are looking for a lightweight product, this is the same as other wheelchairs. It's still a very nice product though!

The Hugo Roling Walker has given me a new freedom and release from the tedium of live confined to a small inside area. With large wheels and brakes I can conquer whatever the outdoors offers. The seat allows rest as needed and the pouch can be used for toting groceries, books, etc. My only warning would be to consider the weight if you are lifting into a vehicle by yourself. Someone without upper body strength would need assistance. It is a bit cumbersome but will fit in the back of my average sedan.

We found the Hugo Rolling Walker to be a well built and a high quality walker. It was easy to assemble. The cloth compartment under the seat is one of the reasons I choosing Hugo. This compartment helps keep items out of sight from people passing by. The larger wheels help for better maneuverability. Last but not least, the brakes are easy to grip and are lockable.

Costco quit carrying Hugo Rollators. Amazon reviews are 'required reading' on my purchases from any source.

FLAWS:
1-Wheels near feet can be put inside frame causing TOE damage for diabetic neuropathy or other users.
2-Bolt holding wheel and bearing swivel to frame works loose and allows wheel to fail unless wobble noticed. I have returned at least one during early weeks [to Costco] for this. My current one was repaired from older ones.

Features for me buying 4 or 5 of these.

-push lock brakes
-NO TOOL assembly
-Large wheels
-bag vs basket
-lock open / close [had to put bright tape on knob so aids could see it]

Minor problems:
-brake not adjusted right - immediate return.

This product work out well for my mother in law. She could not keep the wheelchair she had from the hospital for long term use. When we ordered this chair we did not know the type she had. We just knew we needed something that would meet her needs and wanted good quality. We reviewed several and decided on this model. My mother in law was happy with the wheelchair she had but could not keep it. The funny thing that happen when we brought this wheelchair to her it turned out to be the same model that she had from the hospital but now she owns it. Wow..! that worked out well. To us this shows the quality of product that Amazon sells. I know hopitals buy in bulk and that keeps their cost down but I did not think I would pay a good price and get the same quality of a hopital Wheelchair. I broke my leg, I work in an office and what a relief to have something affordable and I chose Amazon Prime and got it right away. It's served it's purpose and was very similar to the ones in the hospitals and medical centers for visitors to use. It folds up and the arms and legs are simple to put on and off. There is a height adjustment, but I didn't try to change it, the chair being of a comfortable height already. The only thing is that the left wheel slips sometimes starting off from a stationary position, not gripping like the right, I don't know if it's just an adjustment thing or anything (could possibly be that I am only using the left leg support), but it doesn't interfere with it's useage. The chair also has brakes, which is nice to get in and out of so that the chair doesn't roll away. Even though I only needed it for a month, it was worth every penney. It's not an extremely comfortable chair and sitting in it hurts my back after a while, but the same is true for all... Read more

I purchased this wheelchair before my recent foot reconstructive surgery. Since I am in school administration, I'm on my feet a lot. This enabled me to return to school and stay off my foot and get around my two story school easily. It was comfortable to sit in and easy to roll around. The leg/foot adjustment is easy to operate. Construction was very solid and would last a long time. I'm keeping it to use when I have my other foot done.

Good idea but if the person using it has no manual dexterity, like my mother-in-law, it's of no use. She cannot manipulate the velcro straps that attach it to the arms of the chair. It's also too heavy for her to lift on and off the chair. Like I said, "Good idea...BUT". I had to send it back.

I broke my leg and was looking at nearly two months on crutches. After the first week I was frustrated at all the things I couldn't do because I needed both hands for the crutches, plus I was sore all over and my broken leg would swell from dangling down. This simply was NOT going to work for a month and a half! So I checked the cost of renting a small wheelchair but the price of renting would have been at least as much as buying this chair. I did shop around and look at numerous chairs from numerous places, comparing all the features and prices along with reviews for the chair AND the store. Of course I know Amazon is totally trustworthy so that was a good start, and I chose this particular chair because of the elevating leg rests along with the full sized rear wheels. I can now keep my broken leg elevated to reduce swelling and discomfort, and am able to wheel myself around with very little effort.

I had a severe accident and couldn't walk for two months at least. To rent a wheelchair was 75 per week. I found this one and it was much better. It had the elevating legs and is very sturdy. I am glad I found it.
